Grupa Azoty and Business & Science Poland join forces to advocate for the Polish fertilizer and chemical industry in Brussels
Grupa Azoty, a leading Polish capital group and the second-largest producer of nitrogen and multi-component fertilizers in the European Union, has officially joined Business & Science Poland. The company currently faces major challenges, including rising gas prices and the costs associated with CO₂ emissions. These issues will be at the forefront of Grupa Azoty’s advocacy efforts as part of its BSP membership.
Partnering with BSP opens up new opportunities for effective dialogue aimed at fostering understanding and, ultimately, shaping regulations that reflect the needs of the domestic fertilizer and chemical industry. "We want to emphasize the importance of a rational approach when introducing new legislative initiatives for the industry, which is already facing numerous challenges, particularly in terms of decarbonization. Market protection regulations remain a key priority for us," said Hubert Kamola, Vice President of the Management Board of Grupa Azoty S.A. and President of the Management Board of Grupa Azoty Puławy.
Business & Science Poland's mission is to support Polish businesses in effectively influencing EU regulations in line with the interests of the Polish economy.
Grupa Azoty’s membership in BSP marks a significant step in strengthening the collective voice of Polish businesses in Brussels, especially at a time when a new EU agenda on competitiveness is taking shape. "There are many shared interests within the energy-intensive industry and beyond. Maintaining a strong position in both the European and global markets requires innovation and a well-structured regulatory environment. I am confident this will be a highly beneficial partnership," said Bartek Czyczerski, President of the Management Board of Business & Science Poland.
