We support

BSP, being an active participant in the discussions in Brussels, supports Polish companies, helping them to reach key stakeholders who make up EU law with jointly developed postulates. This approach ensures that the voice of Polish industry is heard and taken into account in the process of creating EU law, which is then implemented at national level.

“Our mission is to offer members and partners professional tools to influence the EU legislative environment and to build effective coalitions supporting the interests of Polish industry and science.”

We strengthen partnerships and support

Our partners are entities from various sectors: energy, transport, heavy industry, finance, food and services. We also support trade, innovation and research activities of small and medium-sized enterprises.

In the economy, competitive advantage is ensured by access to key information, and the most important economic and social decisions for EU member states are made in Brussels. That is why on a daily basis we take care of the constant analysis of the dynamic European agenda in the areas of functioning of our Members and Partners and we inform them about the current activities of the EU institutions. This allows us to keep abreast of legislative changes and to pre-determine the opportunities and risks of adapting to the proposed changes. The ongoing activities of BSP also focus on effectively building relationships with the negotiating circles in Brussels by inspiring and leading public debates, conferences and meetings. This allows us to create a professional discussion space for all stakeholders in the area of EU legislative activity.

BSP also focuses on building relationships with negotiating circles in Brussels. By organising debates, conferences and meetings, we create a professional space to discuss EU legislation, fostering dialogue between all stakeholders.

Expert groups

We act in the area of legislation through membership in the following expert groups:

EU Platform on Sustainable Finance

BSP has twice been selected to be part of the European Commission's expert advisory group to implement the EU taxonomy. From 2020 onwards, as the only Polish organisation from the CEE region, we are among the experts in the flagship project implementing the objectives of the EU taxonomy, defining funding pathways for sustainable transformation.

European Covenant of Companies for Climate and Energy (CCCE)

BSP participated in 2023 in the CCCE pilot project, a European Commission initiative to support European companies in increasing their participation in the energy transition and decarbonisation. BSP was involved in a consultancy project related to the development of research and innovation projects.

‍BIP - Biomethane Industrial Partnership

The partnership aims to support an increase in the annual production and consumption of sustainable biomethane and contribute to creating the conditions for a further increase in its potential by 2050. BSP became an associate member of the BIP in 2022 and, from 2024, has been included in the work of a task force to identify the potential of innovative biomass sources across the EU and to identify the conditions under which this potential could be unlocked.

EUFertilisers Market Observatory

In 2023 BSP has been included among the entities of the newly established group of experts of the European Commission, which examines factors influencing the development of the fertiliser market in the EU.  The opportunity to participate directly in the work of this body is part of efforts to support the interests of the Polish fertiliser and food sector.

“Our goal is to strengthen the value of the European single market by working towards the adoption of responsible regulations in line with the interests of the Polish and European economies.”
