On 29 October, we hosted the best technical universities in Europe in our Brussels office. The reason was the announcement of the results of this year's edition EngiRank 2024, which is the ranking of the best engineering universities in Europe.
For the second time in a row, the Technical University of Denmark took first place.
The top five included:

4. ETH Zürich (Switzerland)
5. KTH Royal Institute of Technology (Sweden)
EngiRank has shown the impressive potential of European higher education, but in an era of increasing global competition, technical universities are faced with the challenge of which development directions to choose in order to support the competitiveness of European science, research, but also industry and business. Attempts to answer this question were undertaken by the participants tutorial “Engineering Education for an Innovative and Sustainable Europe” prepared by the Perspectives Foundation and the Danish Technical University. In the panel “European industrial cooperation - what is the vision for closer cooperation between industry and technical universities?” BSP President Bartek Czyczerski took part. In his speech, he stressed that the most powerful forces governing the world are ideas and science. Together, they create a groundbreaking influence that shapes politics, the economy, society, and even military power. Europe needs scientists and engineers more than ever, with their innovative mindset. He noted that business leaders need to take a long-term perspective, as innovation often requires extended time frames and additional resources. Public funding initiatives such as Horizon and partnerships with other companies can play a key role in filling these gaps.
