In the context of the ongoing work in the European Commission on the upcoming Clean Industrial Deal, Business & Science Poland (BSP), in cooperation with its member companies, has prepared a position paper in which it wants to convey the demands of Polish industry vis-à-vis the Clean Industrial Deal so that it not only ensures a stable future for European industry, but also contributes to a significant increase in the competitiveness of the European economy in the face of global pressure and results in increased energy, raw materials and economic security for the European Union.
BSP’s key requests include:
1. technology neutrality and support for local sources of energy generation;
2. support of high-carbon areas;
3. support of energy-intensive sectors;
4. development of additional financial support mechanisms for both investment costs and operating costs and investments in network infrastructure;
5. dialogue with industry,
6. simplify and speed up investment processes and reduce regulation.
As Business & Science Poland, we believe that the measures mentioned above should be implemented as soon as possible to adopt effective economic policies that improve the prospects of European industry, contribute to political stability and ensure the success of decarbonisation in Europe.
