Artificial Intelligence is developing fast. In April, the European Commission adopted a strategy Artificial Intelligence for Europe. Two months later, it published the White Paper on A European approach to excellence and trust. Simultaneously, the European Parliament has taken an initiative and established a Special Committee on Artificial Intelligence in a Digital Age (AIDA) in June. By that time, the member states, businesses and society have taken part in the first public consultations. It seems the EU is done with preparing the ground and is ready for the next stage.
