The topic of the last debate in the cycle BSP_Insight was a gas package, which includes:

• Directive on common rules for the internal markets in renewable gases and natural gas and hydrogen
• Regulation on Internal Markets in Renewable Gases and Natural Gas and Hydrogen

The guest of the meeting was Ryszard Pawlik, who is directly involved in the work on the documents. The conversation covered a number of issues: including biomethane, support for regions using large-scale coal and high-carbon energy sources, blending, security and diversifying the supply of low-carbon and green hydrogen.

Nearly 1,700 amendments have been submitted to the gas package in total. The vote in the ITRE committee is scheduled for November 28.
