As part of the “Brussels Talks” series organized by the NCBR Brussels/BSP, we cordially invite you to its next edition: “Brussels Talks — European Research Council — a unique European way to support pioneering research”. The webinar will be held on February 9, 2022, from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m., and the guest will be Professor Maria Leptin, President of the European Research Council.

Professor Maria Leptin assumed the position of Chair of the ERC on 1 November 2021. Previously, from 2010 to 2021, she served as Director of the European Molecular Biology Organization. She also founded a research group at the European Molecular Biology Laboratory in Heidelberg. In 1994, Maria Leptin became a professor at the Institute of Genetics at the University of Cologne, Germany, where she continues to lead the research group. He is a member of EOBM, Academia Europaea and the German National Academy of Sciences (Leopoldina) and an honorary member of the Academy of Medical Sciences.

The meeting will be moderated by Ewa Kocińska-Lange, Director of the NCBR Office in Brussels.
