As part of the “Brussels Talks” series organized by the NCBR Brussels/BSP, we cordially invite you to its March edition. The webinar will take place on March 14, 2022, from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. on the ClickMeeting platform, and the topic will be the Smart Networks and Services Joint Undertaking (SNS JU) partnership within Horizon Europe and 6G, the next generation wireless communication technology.
The guest will be Dr. Peter Stuckmann, Acting Executive Director at SNS JU and Deputy Director of the Future Networks Division in the Directorate-General for Communications Networks, Content and Technology (DG Connect) of the European Commission.
The SNS JU partnership aims to secure Europe's leading position in the 5G industry and contribute to accelerating the green and digital transformation. Moreover, its programme will enable Europe to promote technological sovereignty in the area of 6G. For this ambitious mission, the European Commission has allocated a budget of €900 million for 2021-2027, the first European research and development programme of this scale in the area of 6G.
6G will enable full digitalization of industry and support multiple industries, e.g. smart buildings, smart agriculture, smart cities; it will also support the integration of new technologies: AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, IoT, holographic communication system, critical infrastructure support applications, multi-sensory networks).
The host will be Ewa Kocińska-Lange, Director of the NCBR Office in Brussels.
