The Shaping Europe’s Digital Edge: The Role of CEE Member States in Driving Innovation & Technological Advancement debate brought together key representatives of the European Union, industry leaders from Central and Eastern Europe, and experts to discuss how the region can leverage the technological revolution for its own development and contribute to the overall growth of the European Union.

The discussion emphasized the ambitious digital transformation strategy of the European Union and the need for immediate action in several key areas:

  • Smart regulations that support innovation, particularly in artificial intelligence (AI) and quantum computing.
  • Stronger public-private partnerships to accelerate digital development.
  • Increased investment in digital infrastructure, including 5G, 6G, and fiber-optic networks.
  • Development of digital skills and preparing the workforce for the future.
  • Strengthening cybersecurity and data protection across the EU.

Organized by CEE Digital Coalition and Business & Science Poland, the event highlighted the crucial role of Central and Eastern European countries in shaping the digital future of the European Union. Through clear regulations, investments in digital infrastructure, and the implementation of cutting-edge technologies, the region has the potential to become a driving force of innovation and significantly contribute to the global digital position of the EU.

The debate took place as part of the opening of the CEE Digital Coalition representation in Brussels.
